Making your wedding dance visions come to life.

One day I was in Byron Bay with my two (engaged) life long friends. We were having a few pre-drinks in our hostel accomodation room, when one of them asked me "wait, can you help us with our first dance? We want to do it to Drake." To which the obvious answer was "yes". I started to choreograph right there and then and managed to remember the choreography the next day which I was pretty chuffed about after many over happy hour cocktails that night.

​My friends then performed (and smashed) their dance at their wedding later that year in November 2022. It was a pleasure to watch my two very good friends perform a dance I created with them, for them and that was theirs forever.

After this, through word of mouth my choreography and services spread around Perth....and I thought to myself... "Hang on, I can really do this."

And thus, SK Wedding Dances officially launched in September 2023.

My name is Safiya Karolia and I have been dancing since the age of 7 and still do to do this day. I have trained in most styles of dance and working on a professional level since the age of 16. My passion for dance has moved me internationally and my eagerness to teach gained me a Diploma of Education majoring in Dance (Secondary Education). 

​

At SK Wedding Dances, I value being qualified to teach (I am good at this), experienced to choreograph (I understand movement and music) and centred to listen to your vision by honouring my mission statement of "making your wedding dance vision come to life" (this is about you, not me). I excel in non-traditional (but can do this of course) wedding dances that are suited to all skills levels. Above all, I aim to make sure you have fun through the process, ensure you feel good about it and strive to make you not look awkward.
